Canadian Landscape and Nature Photographer Living in Japan

I am a struggling outdoor photographer/writer from Canada and living in Japan with my wife and our children. I have owned a camera since 1985, an SLR since 1987, and larger formats since 1993. I love photo art books of nature and landscape photography and I am a big fan of the earth sciences, particularly geology and geography. Since the mid-nineties I have been trying to get my work published and earn enough money if not to make a living from photography and writing then at least for it to pay for itself and perhaps supplement the income from my day job. The real big dream, however, is to have my own photo art books published and hold solo exhibitions in major galleries, not only in Japan but perhaps someday in other countries.

The problem is that I still don’t really know what  am doing…
